Note*

died as the result of a heart attack. For nearly 40 years Isaiah ran a rural store on the Piedmont road and served as postmaster of the Worry postoffice. Due to ill health, he retired as postmaster about a year before his death.
Author's note: A letter from James Watkins, Loudon, Tennessee, states that Isaiah (a twin) was born on 31 Feb 1872. Of course we know that February has only 28 days, except for leap year. I can only assume that this was a typing error. Jim also notes that Isaiah's tombstone shows the date of death as 29 Mar 1941.
