Eph's father taught him 'to do without' in a way that made Eph feel it was the proper thing to do instead of a disgrace. Eph received his degrees from Mercer University, Macon, GA., and from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was the author of the book Whisenhunt Syllabus.
