I Daniel Whisenhunt of the County of Catawba and State of North Carolina, Being of a sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of my earthly Existence do make and declare this my last will and testament

First that my executors shall provide for my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of the relations and friends and pay all funeral expenses together with my just debts howsoever and to whomsoever owing out of the moneys that first come into their hands as a part or parcel of my estate First of all I give unto my beloved wife Susanah Whisenhunt everything belonging to me during her life then after her death the lands is to be divided as follows Beginning on Solomon Echards corner and along with the thru Pike road to a Post Oak then nearby South west to Ephraim & Amy Rinkes rock corner all of that line I give unto my great grand daughter Susanah Catharine Whisenhunt Luther Whisenhunts daughter and her bodily heirs and if she dies without bodily heirs half of it is to go to John M. Whisenhunt and the other (half) to be divided equal amongst her brothers & sisters

Then last of said line I give unto Luther Whisenhunt and his lawful heirs & John M. Whisenhunt & Jane C. Whisenhunt & Jones M. Whisenhunt Equal and if my wife dies intestate the property she has on hand is to be sold and Equally divided between Luther W. Whisenhunt, John M. Whisenhunt & Jane C. Whisenhunt & Jones M. Whisenhunt and John M. Whisenhunt to have fifty dollars in money over and above the rest I do hereby appoint A. J. Whitner and John M. Whisenhunt my lawful Executors to execute this my last will and testament in witness whereof I the said Daniel Whisenhunt do hereunto set my hand & seal this the 19th of April 1879
