Note*Henry, his family, parents, brothers, and sisters, moved away from Randolph County, North Carolina between 1821 and 1824. Within the next few years they were to arrive in Carroll County, Georgia, but not before a brief stay in Tennessee. They arrived in Carroll County between 1824 and 1828. Shortly after his father's death in 1849, the family was again on the move. His mother and most of the children, including Henry, moved west into Arkansas, and some of them on into Texas. Henry first settled in Sevier County, Arkansas around 1850. He then moved to Pike County Arkansas by 1860. He was to spend his remaining years in that county.

Author's note: In the 1830 Carroll County, GA census, under the Henry Whisenhunt household, there were 2 additional females I have not been able to identify; one was born between 1817 and 1821, the other born between 1827 and 1830.
