Mark Allen Whisnant

SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mark Allen Whisnant, 45, husband of Christina Parker Whisnant, went home to be with the Lord Friday, November 29, 2013. Born September 2, 1968 in Athens, GA, he was a son of Berry William Whisnant and Joyce Linda Chadwick Whisnant.

Mark was a graduate of Dorman High School, a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church, and was employed as Operations Supervisor with TFE Logistics, contractors with Adidas. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman, could fix anything, and was a volunteer with the Salvation Army.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Hunter J. Johnson of Spartanburg; four daughters, Cheyenne M. Whisnant of Charlotte, NC, Kaylee A. Whisnant of Washington, GA, Makenzie C. Johnson and Hailey C. Johnson both of Spartanburg; three sisters, Faye W. Rife and husband, Rich, of Sumter, Elaine W. Pulliam of Lexington, GA, and Laura W. McNutt and husband, Matt, of Charleston, SC; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant brother, William Ray Whisnant.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mark will be held 3:00 PM Monday, December 2, 2013 at Bobo Funeral Chapel with Jay Parker, brother-in-law, presiding. Visitation will be prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM. Burial will be private.
