Alfred Ford Whisnant

Funeral services were held at the German Funeral Home Chapel Thursday, July 2, 1953 for Ford Whisnant, a farm laborer, who lived near Steele.

Mr. Whisnant was born in North Carolina on June 14, 1914, and had been in this community for the past year and a half. He passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 1 at the age of 39 years and 17 days.

Bro. G.E. Leach, pastor of the Denton Assembly of God Church, officiated at funeral services. German Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and interment was in Mount Zion Cemetery.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Coy Whisnant, of Steele; four sons, Carolyn, Danny Lee, Billy and Charles; one daughter, Betty; two step-sons, Joe and Sid White, all of Steele; his father, A.L. Whisnant, two brothers, James and J.W. and one sister, Mrs. Annie Ruth Snance, all of North Carolina.
