Tony Lee Hunt, 83, of Ripley, Miss., died Wednesday, February 7, 1996, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Miss.

Born May 15, 1912 in Red Bay, Ala., he was a son of the late Richard Lee Hunt and Mary Pennington Hunt.

His wife, Lorene Ferrell Hunt, and one son Raymond Lee Hunt, also preceded him in death.

Affiliated with the Baptist Church, he was a retired farmer.

Mr. Hunt leaves two sons, Wilburn Lee Hunt of Walnut, Miss. and Joe Wayne Hunt of Steele, Mo.; A daughter, Kathy Blankenship, of Walnut; Three sisters: Lena Dickson and Magdiline Bobo, both of Walnut, and Lillian Hancock of Theo, Miss.; Fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-three great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Hunt were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 1996, at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley with Rev. Joe Spencer officiating.

Burial was at Bethleham Cemetery in Alcorn County, Miss., with arrangements by Ripley Funeral Home of Ripley.
