Woodward, Okla. — Jeremy M. Whisennand, 36 year old Woodward resident, died Sunday, September 9, 2012 in Amarillo, Texas as a result of a motorcycle accident. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jeff Swigart officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at the Forgan Cemetery.

Jeremy Mark Whisennand was born on January 14, 1976 in Millington, Tennessee to Tommy Mark and Verna (Bell) Whisennand. Jeremy was reared in Mooreland and graduated from Mooreland High School in 1994. He played football during his school years and was always playing basketball with his buddies in the Mooreland Park. Jeremy attended Sayre Jr. College and went to work for Rolf Heltzen Sandblasting. Jeremy also worked in the oilfield doing construction.

Jeremy enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Tom Whisennand and wife Deborah of Woodward, Verna Mendoza of Woodward; two brothers, Lance Whisennand and wife Monica of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Tim Whisennand and Sarah of Mooreland; half-brothers, Ryan Mendoza of Woodward, Matthew Mendoza of Woodward; step-sisters, Dwana Griffith, Darla Hill, both of Missouri; step-sister, Sonya Donley and husband Dustin of Mooreland; step-brother, Gerald Newby and wife Morgan of Woodward; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother Cody Ray Whisennand.
