Beverly A. Whisonant

SALISBURY - Ms. Beverly Annette Whisonant, age 50, of South Jackson Street, passed Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 12, 1961, in Salisbury to Patricia H. Whisonant and the late Paul M. Barger. She attended Salisbury High School.

Beverly was previously employed at Centurion Medical Supplies. She attended Outreach Christian Ministries.

In addition of her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Whisonant (previously married to Mary W. Archie of Salisbury), and Will Cherry; and sisters Judy Mae Archie, Diane Brown and Linda Faye Harris.

Survivors are sons Robert S. Whisonant, Salisbury, Minister Robert "Bay" Archie (Bishop Carolyn Archie); brothers Timothy Whisonant (Angela), Michael Whisonant, Rodney Cherry, Brian Cherry (Sue) Johnny Cherry and Charles Cherry, all of Salisbury; sisters Traci Whisonant, Jackie Cherry (Franklin "J.B." Davis, Jr., Sarah Etherene (Donnie), Treva McLendon, all of Salisbury; fiance Greg Phillips, Salisbury; a host of nieces and nephews, including a favorite niece, Latoya Wilson (Anthony), Salisbury, and cousins.

Service and Visitation: Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday and visitation at 12 noon at Outreach Christian Ministries with Pastor Bradley Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
