JOE WHISENANT

DUNCAN - Memorial services for Joe Bill Whisenant, 84, Duncan, are 2 p.m.
Tuesday at First Christian Church, Duncan, the Revs. Garnet Cole and Tracy L.
Wilson officiating.

Mr. Whisenant died July 16, 2005, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born
Nov. 22, 1920, at Dixie, to Guy and Georgia Johnson Whisenant. He married
LaMarylis Ray June 18, 1945, at Walters.

He lived in the Ada area in the mid 1960s and owned and operated the Panther
Drive-in at Latta. He was also a pumper for the Amerada Petroleum Co., and
retired as a drilling superintendent. He was a member of the Duncan Golf and
Country Club.

Survivors include his wife, LaMarylis, of the home; three sons, Joe Whisenant
and wife Paula, Seiling, Bruce Whisenant and wife Rhonda, Ada, and Monty
Whisenant and wife Amy, Guthrie; one daughter, Toni Rogers and husband Rick,
Luther; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great- grandchildren.
