Shirley Lorretta Roundtree Whisnant

WEWOKA - Funeral services for Shirley Lorretta Whisnant, 60, of Cromwell, have been scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Stout. Funeral Chapel. Bob Woodward and Darrell Smith will officiate.

Burial will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.

Whisnant died Monday.

She was born on March 19, 1937, in Stroud to Nannie and William Roundtree.

Whisnant was raised in the Stroud and Prague area and lived in Sasakwa for two years. She had lived in Cromwell since 1950 where she graduated high school.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and attended the Pentecostal Church and taught Sunday school. She was a member of the Home Extension and an activeleader in 4H.

Whisnant was preceded in death by her father; brother, haward Lee Roundtree; and sister, Josehpine Stroud.

She is survived by her husband, Alva, of the home; sons, Dennis Whisnant of Oklahoma City, and Leslie Whisnant of Missouri; mother, Nannie Roundtree of Okemah; Brothers, Troy Roundtree of Cromwell, and Kenneth Roundtree of Blackwell; sister, Dollie Stanfield of Rankin, Texas; and two grandchildren.
