Ned McNeil Whisonant

Ned McNeil Whisonant, age 75, passed away on August 12, 2004. He died in Tuskegee VA Nursing Home (CAVHCS East)
He was a veteran of Korea, textile worker retired from Opp Cotton Mill. Before moving to Andalusia he lived in Opp.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 15, 2004 at Wyatt Funeral Home. Earl Kelley and David Sims ministered the funeral, with burial following in the Bethel Cemetery in Andaluasia. Wyatt Funeral Home directed. Gerald Brown performed Amazing Grace and Peace in the Valley.

Mr. Whisonant is preceded in death by parents, Jeanette and Garland Whisonant; daughter, Rebecca Cooper; sister, Gadel Johnson; son, Donahue Watson.

Survivors include: wife, Faye Whisonant of Andalusia; sons, Bruce Whisonant, Ricky Watson and Terry Watson all of Andalusia; daughters, Violet Bloom, Destin, Fla., Linda Palmer, Lanette Smith and Karen Haney all of Andalusia; sister, Garlene Brown of Opp; brothers, Baxter Whisonant of Polk City, Fla., Jack Whisonant of Montgomery, David Whison-ant, of Andalusia and Taylor Whisonant of Opp; 35 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Pallbearers included: Chris Watson, Bobbie Watson, Matt Patterson, Robert Lee, Darrell Smith and Edwin Lee.
