Diane L Whisnant Dezell

Diane L. Dezell was born July 17, 1941, in Hickory, N.C., a daughter of Robert and Dorothy Farley Whisnant. She graduated in 1959 from Fred T. Foard High School, North Carolina.

She married Frederick Dezell June 30, 1960, in Lisbon, in the home of the Rev. George Jock.

Mrs. Dezell was a secretary at the former Leland Ford Automobile Agency, Ogdensburg, from 1959 to 1961.

In 1964, she completed a practical nursing course at A. Barton Hepburn Hospital, Ogdensburg.

She was employed by C.W. Green Inc. at the time of her death. She had been employed there since 1986.

Mr. and Mrs. Dezell had resided in their home on Lisbon-Flackville Road for the past 23 years.

Mrs. Dezell enjoyed doing craft work, crocheting, reading, and she loved flowers. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a member of Lisbon Wesleyan Church, served as the treasurer of the church missionary society for more than 25 years, and was assistant treasurer for the Sunday school for more than 20 years.

Mrs. Dezell had also assisted in monitoring polling stations for elections in local polling districts for many years.

Burial: Foxwood Memorial Park, Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence County, New York.
