Willie Nelle B. Whisenant

AIKEN, S.C. - Entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 5, 2008, Ms. Willie Nelle Black Whisenant, age 90, of Aiken, S.C., wife of the late W. C. Whisenant and daughter of the late Willie Black and the late Shelly Railey Black. She is survived by sons; Bobby Golden of North Augusta and Billy F. Golden, Sr., of New Bern, N.C.; a daughter, Shirley Glisson of Graniteville; five grandchildren, Jill Golden, Cristie Golden Shuford, Tiffany Miller, Michael Sheppard and Kathy Holley; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was born in Avery, Georgia but has been a resident of Aiken County for the past 80 years. She was of the Methodist faith. She was a retired Lab Technician. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Wilson officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Thomas Black, Ben Twilley, Stewart Twilley, Tim Fox, Jonathan Nelson and Michael Sheppard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the hour of service.
