Edward B. "Red" Whisenant

GRANITEVILLE — Entered into rest Sunday, June 24, 2007, Mr. Edward B. "Red" Whisenant of Graniteville, SC, beloved husband of Mrs. Mary Enlow Whisenant and son of the late William P. Whisenant and the late Lola Mae Fulmer Whisenant. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Charles and his wife Ruth Whisenant, Steve and his wife Kathy Whisenant, both of North Augusta, Michael and his wife Sharye Whisenant of Warrenville and Jody and his wife Grace Whisenant of Aiken; a brother, Bob Whisenant of Aiken; three sisters, Jean Bahlhorn, Gail Simpson and her husband Sonny, both of Graniteville, and Ellen Arthur and her husband Ted of Warrenville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was born in Graniteville and had been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He retired from Graniteville Company. He was of the Baptist faith. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Satcher and Chaplain Edward Newsome officiating. The interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens in Langley, SC.
