J.D. Whisenant

J.D, Whisenant, 76, of Wimberley, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2005. J.D. was born June 2, 1928, in Austin to Elitha Mae and Wilson Homer Whisenant. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korea conflict. He loved to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Fae Whisenant in 1996. He is survived by his children, Carl Dee Whisenant and wife Mickey; Leslie Dean Whisenant both of Austin; Homer Wayne Whisenant and wife Sara of Henly; Mary Ellen Ruckman and husband Lawrence of Wimberley; Susan Mae Pearson and husband Charlie of Lytton Springs; Ell Wilson Whisenant of Wimberley; Billie and Chuck Moore of Creedmoor; and grandchildren, Aubry Rein Ruckman, Caroline Grace Pearson, Katlyn Whisenant Leslie Michelle Whisenant, Stephanie Ann Whisenant, Melissa Dawn Whisenant, Chelsea Marie Moore, Jesse Dean Moore, Charles Benjamin Moore, Jr. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2005, at Harrell Funeral Chapel in Dripping Springs. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am., Saturday, May 28, 2005, at the Cruze Family Cemetery in Wimberley, TX.
