Note*Peter and his family moved from Campbell Co., Georgia, to St. Clair Co., Alabama, around 1870, and from there to Texas around 1871. Peter purchased 71 acres of land in Erath Co., TX from the R.P. Boswell Survey. In 1878 Peter Whisenant paid two years back taxes on 356 acres of the R. P. Boswell Survey, and secured a tax title to the same. On June 17, 1879, the Boswell heirs recovered the 356 acres, and on the same day, Peter Whisenant purchased the 356 acres for $932.
