  • I found no Whis... families in the census reports of the following states: Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Utah, and Vermont.
  • The shaded areas indicate no census taken for that year. (There had been an 1890 census, but 90% of it was destroyed.)
  • The 1890 census for Oklahoma was the Oklahoma Territory Indian reservation census.
  • Unshaded areas with just a "-" in the field indicate I have not looked at census reports or indexes for that year.
  • For 1880 census, I only searched the Soundex microfilm. This film contained only families with children under 11 years of age.
  • For 1910 census, I only searched the Soundex microfilm. Not all states are represented in the 1910 Soundex.
